Dear Cub Master

Troop 91 is sponsored by the Village Presbyterian Church.  Our Troop operates a 320 acre camp called Camp Klassen in Miami County.  On September 20 & 21, 2008 we are pleased to offer our 3^rd annual event called CUB’N @ CLUB KLASSEN WITH TROOP 91.  This is a weekend for Webelos, Bears and Wolves to participate in fun and advancement. 

We have been working with Den Leaders to establish the program of activities for that weekend that includes a mixture of Achievements and Electives that are appropriate for each Cub rank.  Also the Leave No Trace program will be taught to all Cub ranks.  I have also enclosed copies of a brochure for the weekend.  I would appreciate it if you could distribute these to the Den Leaders in your Pack to see if there is any interest in Cub Scouts and parents attending.  More information and additional brochures can be found on Troop 91s website at www.Troop91.org, simply select the Cub’n @ Club Klassen button. 

As former Cub Scout leaders, we are excited about this event and think the boys will really enjoy the many activities being offered.  Last year we had over 100 Cub Scouts and Cub Parents at this event.  We are trying to do careful planning to make sure there is enough food and supplies for all of the boys.  Therefore, pre-registration is important.  

In addition, we will be offering adult training programs which have been approved by the District. This will give adults an opportunity to obtain training at the same time the boys are otherwise involved. The courses offered are New Leader Essentials, Youth Protection, and, a general question and answer orientation for all adults who someday will be moving from the role of Cub Scout parent to Boy Scout parent.  

The Boy Scouts and leaders of Troop 91 hope this weekend offers your Pack assistance in its Cub Scout program and a fun time for your members.
